Britney Spears’ Sons Encourage Rehab After DUI Arrest

“After her arrest, Britney was reluctant to jump without the encouragement of her team and other family members, but Preston and Jayden were able to talk her through it and convince her it had to happen,” said the first source. Usadding that the “Toxic” singer’s program “is not a fixed number of days,” so it is unclear how long he will remain in treatment.

“Britney was a bunch of nerves going to rehab because it’s so hard for her to trust outsiders and follow a path that isn’t hers, but she’ll do anything for her kids,” the insider continued. “Their relationship has been at an all-time high over the years, and he doesn’t want to jeopardize that by continuing down a destructive path.”

A spokesperson for the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office in California tells Us that prosecutors are still “reviewing” Spears’ case and will decide whether to formally charge her before her May 4 trial.

“Britney was very scared that she might end up in jail or some other kind of dire consequences, so she realized that going forward with voluntary treatment can only help her,” said the source.
