TikTok’s Matt and Abby Howard Reveal Rainbow Baby Sex

TikTok Matt Howard and his pregnant wife, Abby Howardthey found out the gender of their baby with the help of their young sons.
“I’m happy,” Abby shared in a Sunday, April 19, YouTube video, which was recorded in January. “This is the first we’ve ever found, but now I have a sense that I want to know more about this child that I don’t know about.”
When asked what she thought the gender of their baby would be, Abby replied, “I think it’s a girl.”
“I feel like I didn’t have a choice with the third. But now that we know what we lost, it opened up that desire in my heart to have a little girl one day,” Abby said. “We will love this child no matter what.”
In another clip, Matt explained that Abby’s mother would give their sons a bouquet of green or pink flowers – matching their baby’s gender. The sons of the two then went towards the couple, who had their eyes closed, holding green flowers. (Matt and Abby welcomed sons Griffin and August in 2022 and 2023, respectively.)
When Matt opened his eyes, he exclaimed, “It’s a boy!” Abby bowed her head and laughed before clapping her hands.
“We have three boys in the family,” Matt said to their sons. “Three boys, how crazy is that.”
The pair then celebrated with a large party, where they were seen throwing blue confetti as their loved ones cheered.
“We feel blessed! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us!” video was recorded.
Matt and Abby shared in March that they are expecting another child. “Baby #4 🌈,” the pair captioned their Instagram post. “Thank you beyond measure.”
In August 2025, Matt and Abby announced that they were expecting their third child. A month later, the couple shared that they had lost the pregnancy.
“It is with very heavy hearts that we share the loss of our baby girl who was born so soon,” the couple wrote on Instagram in September 2025. “During a normal pregnancy, our doctor could not find a heartbeat. Shortly after sending us to an ultrasound the technician said the words we will never forget, ‘I’m so sorry I don’t have good news.’
The statement continued, “That’s when we got the gender reveal we never expected and the news that our baby had a genetic disease that took her life about 17 weeks into her pregnancy.”
Matt and Abby wrote that the news “felt unimaginable” and the grief was “extremely painful.”
“But we feel very grateful for the time we had him, and we still have hope. Hope has continued to show itself to us in many ways,” concluded the couple. “For now we will grieve and continue to think of ways to honor his life offline. Thoughts and prayers are welcome. Thank you everyone for celebrating this precious life with us these past 17 weeks.❤️.”
