Aston Villa are considering a serious offer to sign the PL winner who recently rejected a new contract

Aston Villa are now considering a serious bid to sign Curtis Jones this summer after recent contract talks with Liverpool stalled.
Aston Villa are considering a serious bid to sign Jones
The battle between Aston Villa and the Premier League’s financial rules will start again this summer. Even if the Villans qualify for the Champions League for the second season in a row, they will not get anything other than cash for Morgan Rogers in the coming months.
The England international is reportedly ready for a new challenge and could make a move in the region of £100m if Aston Villa go for the same club record fee they received for Jack Grealish in 2021.
It would be a huge blow, of course, but the sale of Rogers would open the door to more reinforcements and ultimately ease the club’s PSR concerns.
Unai Emery could turn to Anfield to find a place for his talisman this summer. According to TeamTalk, Aston Villa are studying a serious bid to sign Jones from Liverpool.
The England international will take over the home role that Rogers may vacate and appears set to leave his youth club at the end of the season as contract negotiations stall.
Aston Villa are now interested in signing Morgan Rogers next in a £40m deal
Aston Villa are preparing to make a move for a new big-money star this summer.
For all parties, a deal would make perfect sense. It wouldn’t be the first time the two clubs have done business in recent times, either. It was only last summer that Villa had Harvey Elliott on loan, before he was handed a part-time role.
Thanks to Villa and Jones, every club will be hoping to avoid an Elliott repeat and hand the Liverpool man a starring role in the Midlands.
Jones is set to leave Liverpool as contract talks stall
It’s been a strange season for Jones. This should be the time when he is at the peak of his powers as a permanent starter for Liverpool, especially as Alexis Mac Allister continues to struggle.
However, this is not the case. Instead, the academy graduate has started 12 Premier League games and has seen any momentum stalled by a poorly timed injury.
With contract negotiations still pending, Jones is expected to leave this summer before his contract expires and becomes a free agent in 2027.

No midfielder in the Premier League has enjoyed better accuracy than Jones this season. However, Slot continues to look around him in the middle of the park.
It’s a snub the Liverpool boss will regret if Aston Villa come in and turn Anfield’s trash into Midlands treasure, courtesy of Emery this summer.
