Netflix never seems to run out of movies to watch, no matter what month of the year it is.
The downside to having so many movies to choose from is that there will inevitably be some bruises that don’t get the ideas they deserve.
That’s why Watch With Us picks our pick of four under-demand Netflix movies to watch in April 2026.
Our picks include a sci-fi/action story, a romantic tale, a ’70s comedy and a college comedy.
‘Lucy’ (2014)
Meet Lucy Miller (Scarlett Johansson), the most powerful woman on Earth and possibly the smartest person who ever lived. Events of Lucy they represent a big step for the woman who was forced to become a drug mule by Mr. Jang (Choi Min-sik). The brutality of Jang and his men inadvertently sent a large amount of the illegal drug into Lucy’s body, which caused her drastic change.
Unfortunately for Lucy, all that power and knowledge comes at a price. With her body deteriorating and her fate uncertain, Lucy turns to Professor Samuel Norman (Morgan Freeman) for help passing on everything he’s learned. However, Mr. Jang isn’t done with Lucy, and he might kill her before his mission is accomplished.
Lucy is streaming on Netflix.
‘Adaline’s Time’ (2015)
Blake Lively plays the title character It’s Adaline’s turnand it seems she is destined to live forever as a woman under 30. Adaline Marie Bowman died in a car accident decades ago, but her revival by lightning has given her eternal life. When many people realize that she is ageless, Adaline is forced to leave her life, including her grown daughter, Flemming (Kate Richardson).
Currently, Adaline is attracted to Ellis Jones (Michael Huisman), but their courtship is complicated by the fact that Ellis’s father, William Jones (Harrison Ford), he loved Adaline when he was a young man. And William’s ability to identify Adaline threatens his secret and his ability to find love with Ellis.
It’s Adaline’s turn is streaming on Netflix.
‘Smokey and the Bandit’ (1977)
Do you know what the second biggest hit of 1977 was? It was Smokey and the Outlawsonly the next one star Wars when it became a box-office smash nearly 50 years ago. Burt Reynolds he plays Bo “The Bandit” Darville, a truck driver who agrees to deliver illegal beer along with his friend, Cledus “The Snowman” Snow (Jerry Reed).
After boarding a runaway bride named Carrie (Sally Field), the Outlaw and the Snowman find themselves being chased by Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason), known as Smokey Bear. Justice wants to drag Carrie down the aisle to marry her son, Junior (Mike Henry). But Gangster will lose everything he has if he lets Smokey finish his beer.

‘The Roommates’ (2026)
He can Sadie Sandler followed in the footsteps of his famous father, Adam Sandlerand become a movie star himself? His first real test will be Netflix’s first comedy, Roommates. Sandler plays Devon, a shy college student who lacks all the confidence he needs to succeed. He doesn’t seem to have many friends either, which is one of the reasons why he asked Celeste (Chloe East) to live with him.
Although there is a friendly relationship between Devon and Celeste, the conflicts between them get worse when they live together. Their passive behavior towards each other becomes really aggressive, and that may come back to haunt both young women.
Roommates will air on Netflix on April 18.
