Prison call in Kendra Duggar again Joseph Duggar gave more insight into the whereabouts of their children after their parents were arrested for various crimes.
“I think Friday was my hardest day, but it’s crazy to say because Wednesday was crazy,” Kendra, 27, told Joseph, 31, during a March 24 phone call from the Washington County Detention Facility, according to multiple outlets.
Friday refers to the day Kendra was arrested on March 20, which was two days after Joseph was arrested. While talking to her husband, Kendra made it clear that their children are her top priority.
“But it’s like, when you took my kids away from me, they were the ones I was just going to spend my life with,” Kendra, who shares four children with Joseph, told her husband before she decided that children are “her goal right now.”
In a previous phone call, Kendra said she heard their children were “doing well.”
“I fight for the children, and they are my No. 1 now,” he added. “I want you to know, in all of this, no matter what happens, who comes first. Then we’ll see where the rest leads us and try to put the pieces together.”
Joseph agreed that Kendra “should fight hard for them.” While Joseph was released from custody after being returned to Florida on Tuesday, March 31, he is not allowed to have contact with his children as he awaits trial.
The former reality star was arrested last month on charges of molesting a victim under the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior by a person 18 or older. Joseph was charged with four additional counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
According to a press release from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, investigators were contacted by an investigator from the Tontitown Police Department in Arkansas regarding a report of past sexual assault. The 14-year-old victim recalls several alleged incidents in 2020 involving 9-year-old Joseph.
After being transferred from Arkansas to Florida, Joseph entered a written plea of not guilty and requested a trial.

A State Attorney’s Office prosecutor argued during a hearing in Bay County, Florida, Tuesday that the allegations are a “serious case,” adding, “We’re asking for someone to be contacted. [policy] in the area with the victim, and not to have contact with any children.”
The prosecutor continued: “Although he has no criminal history and no ties to the community … he was on vacation and stayed here for a short time. … We are asking for a high bond.”
Ultimately the judge ordered that Joseph “have no contact with the suspect” and “no unsupervised contact with any children under the age of 18.” His bond was set at $600,000 and he is back in Arkansas.
Kendra, meanwhile, was arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor on March 20 and released on a $1,470 bond. Source only told Us Weekly that Kendra’s arrest was “unrelated” to her husband’s case in Florida.
“After he was charged, they did a home study if the children stayed there,” said the source. “It is suspected that they had two rooms where the door lock was locked from the outside instead of from the inside. They tied him up and took his children with that, saying that it is proof that he is locking up his children improperly.”
