The Rohl-led Rangers teamed up with Ryan Kent’s incredible rebounding defense

Glasgow Rangers are still looking to find the next star who can be as successful as Ryan Kent when the team last won the Premiership title in Scotland.
None of the players in the current Ibrox squad have scored more than six goals or provided more than four assists in the league so far this season for Danny Rohl.
Kent, however, scored ten goals and nine assists for Steven Gerrard at left-back in the 2020/21 Premiership season, with the Gers winning the division without losing a game.
The English striker was a master for the Light Blues as he combined a consistent goal threat with reliable creation, cutting down the left to make things happen in the final third.
Kent has played a key role in the club’s Premiership success under Gerrard, and none of the young players in the squad have scored at Ibrox, not even youngster Mikey Moore who has scored six Premiership goals so far.
Rangers are eyeing a deal to sign the Premiership forward
The Scottish giants could address this issue in the summer, however, by entering the market to strengthen their attack with new players who could improve Rohl’s squad.
In fact, the Light Blues are reportedly eyeing a striker who could land at Ibrox as Kent’s replacement for the German head coach next season.
According to a report in the Daily Record, Glasgow Rangers are looking to sign a deal to sign Motherwell star Elijah Just in next summer’s transfer window.
The report claims that Rohl is a big fan of the New Zealander and is driving the club’s interest in signing him later this year, although no formal bid has yet been made.
He adds that he has emerged as a target for the Gers, as he is top of the list of those who want to sign him in the summer, but it remains to be seen how much Motherwell will want him from the rivals.
How could Elijah be a duplicate of Ryan Kent for the Rangers
As mentioned above, Kent was the strongest player at Ibrox as he was able to deliver goals and assists regularly during the title winning season under Gerrard, providing a constant threat in front of goal.
Motherwell’s good performance in the Premiership so far this season indicates that he is in a position to return to Kent for the Light Blues, as he also has the quality to score and assist goals on par.
The 25-year-old has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 29 games as a right winger in the league this season, meaning he has scored more goals than any Rangers player and created more goals than any of Rohl’s wide players.
The Motherwell star has shown that he can be a constant threat to Premiership players, with his Kent-esque ability to score and create goals as a full-back, albeit from the opposite side against England.
He was also one of the most creative players in the entire division. Only Callum Slattery and Calvin Miller, both with eight assists, have recorded more than seven assists in the league.

The New Zealander ranks highest in the most creative and possessive statistics for Premiership players, not just wingers, this season, speaking of the consistent quality he can provide.
He will arrive at Ibrox as a proven Premiership player and could walk through the door and hit the mark in Glasgow, as he knows the league and has shown he can play at a high level week in week out.
The 25-year-old magician has the potential to be the type of player that Rohl currently lacks in the Rangers team, as he can be a dual attacking threat, with his goalscoring and creating, in the same way that Kent Gerrard was five years ago.
That is why the Gers must push to do a deal with Motherwell, as long as they want a fee within reason, to bring the defender to Ibrox in the upcoming summer transfer window.
