Celtic are eyeing two deals to sign the Motherwell manager and star player

Celtic goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel, has admitted that his career could be over due to a serious shoulder injury.
Schmeichel’s Celtic career may be over
The veteran goalkeeper has been playing with pain since he injured his left shoulder playing for Denmark last year, which added to the problem in Stuttgart last month.
He sat out the last five games for Martin O’Neill’s side and was given a “bad” diagnosis when he visited a specialist on Monday.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo Network, Schmeichel said: “I will need two operations to repair my shoulder.
“It’s a bit of a body blow.
“You don’t really know how to react to this. I could have played my last football game. I’ve been a football player since the day I was born. That kind of thought hurts a lot. It’s really hard to wrap my head around right now.”
The 39-year-old followed in the footsteps of his father Peter, who was an integral part of Manchester United’s glory years, and whose career has spanned more than two decades.

The Rams are struggling to land a January signing…
Schmeichel was a member of the Leicester side that won the Premier League in 2016 and the FA Cup five years later, moving on to Nice and Anderlecht before joining Celtic in the summer of 2024.
He will go under the knife for the first time on Friday, and has vowed to fight for his job through a lengthy rehabilitation program.
“My mindset is like, ‘OK, I’m going to give it my all to see if I can come back,'” he said.
“It would be the best thing in my life if I could come back from such an injury. I will fight, I will try my best.”
The Hoops will have a tough job to do this summer in rebuilding a squad that has failed to live up to expectations so far this season, and look to start by beating one of their Premiership rivals twice.
Celtic are eyeing two deals for Motherwell’s two
According to The Daily Record, Celtic are facing rivals Rangers to sign Motherwell star Elijah Just.
This comes amid Steelmen manager Jens Berthel Askou, who is thought to be the frontrunner to replace Martin O’Neill permanently.
Just, a New Zealand international, moved to Fir Park last summer and has been very successful, scoring seven goals in the top flight and being ranked as Motherwell’s best player according to popular statistics website Whoscored.

The 25-year-old, who can play on either side, could easily settle under the bright lights at Parkhead if he joins his manager, who has won two manager of the month awards this season.
