My arms are one of my biggest insecurities, and if I can cover them up in a nice top, I will. This has never been a problem in the fall and winter, but in the spring and summer? Things can be difficult. Not only is it often too warm to throw on a sweater, but many sundress styles feature spaghetti straps or cap sleeves that leave my arm exposed. And as much as I would like to avoid that, I have become an expert in finding sundresses with sleeves, which make me feel very comfortable.

Luckily, you don’t have to miss out on cool, lightweight sundresses just because you want to be covered up a bit. I’ve found lots of fun spring options with sleeves, from chic everyday basics to fancy holiday ones. And since they can be hard to find, I’ve rounded up my favorites below for you to shop.

17 Writer-Approved Sunglasses to Cover Arms

1. What I like: This printed maxi dress has loose sleeves and sleeves that hit just below the elbow, which I love. Long, but light enough for warm weather. In addition, all bold prints give you an expensive look.

2. Runner up: Eyelet lace and a simple weave make this V-neck mini dress the perfect choice for warm summer days. The loose fit is comfortable and the drop shoulders provide ample coverage.

3. Perfect for the Office: With its striped design and long sleeves, this mini shirt looks like a button-down shirt (in a good way). Bonus: It cinches at the waist for a more flattering silhouette.

4. Cozy and Beautiful: Think of this selection as your new go-to t-shirt outfit. It stands out among all the others, thanks to the loose short sleeves and sharp hem for a feminine look.

5. Spring Flowers: This popular wrap dress might just be one of my favorite Amazon items. I love the flared skirt, the flowing sleeves and the V-neckline. Oh, and it comes in lots of cute floral prints and colors.

6. Everyday Denim: When I want something more structured, I reach for this little denim dress. It’s not restrictive, it gives me a comfortable feel while still looking polished.

7. Choice of romance: With a square neck and long length, this Free People midi dress has a romantic and almost Victorian feel that I’m obsessed with. The chic accessory comes in a range of beautiful colours, including a green ‘margarita mix’ option.

8. Short and Sweet: This Lulus baby doll dress is very versatile. You can easily dress it up with heels or keep it casual with flat sandals. Another cool feature? The adjustable sleeves can be worn at wrist length or rolled up for minimal coverage.

9. Easy Breezy: With an airy feel, comfortable and lightweight fabric, this high quality maxi dress is a warm weather dream. It has a flattering wrap style and draping sleeves that hit below the elbow, which always turns me on.

10. Rich Mom’s Hat: For something sophisticated and put together, I’m going with this floral button front dress. The cinched waist provides some shape and the short sleeves are comfortable and relaxed.

11. Holiday Is Right: Pure white cotton and an airy feel make this stylish maxi dress perfect for warm weather trips. The deep V-neck and keyhole make the dress feel bold.

12. Effortless Chic: This cotton dress is made for very hot days when you don’t want to wear anything restrictive. I like that it has long sleeves, which protect the skin from the sun. I also think it makes a great swimsuit cover-up.

13. Go-To Style: This A-line mini dress will look great on anyone. The adjustable tie at the back lets you make it as form-fitting or as loose as you want, and the ruffled hem on the sleeves is a nice touch.

14. Budget-Friendly Glam: There is something luxurious about this loose midi dress, with a slight retro feel to it. Roll up the sleeves to be a little shorter or leave them as if you want more coverage.

15. Classic and Elegant: You can’t go wrong with a classic option, like this little tartan dress. It has a loose fit, but the right accessories can easily dress it up. I’m a big fan of loose sleeves, too.

16. Stylish: Between the detailed embroidery, the airy linen feel and the relaxed fit, this flowing tunic dress is undeniably chic. I also love that it comes in petite and tall sizes.

17. Simple Basis: This flowy little dress is one piece you can have in your closet for years – there are just so many ways to wear it. The long, billowy sleeves and waist definition are a bonus.
