Kyle Richards sues Sister Kim for eviction in 2025: Report

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards it is said that he sued his sister Kim Richards last year.
Kyle, 57, reportedly named Kim, 61, in the January 2025 case, according to court documents obtained by Mr. TMZ on Saturday, April 11. In a reported filing, Kyle asked the court to evict Kim from his residence in Encino, California.
Kyle said his sister had been living in his two-bedroom apartment for years, saying he first asked Kim to leave in late 2024. TMZ reported that Kim pleaded not guilty and a default judgment was entered in March 2025, requiring Kim to surrender the property. Court documents obtained by TMZ the following June say the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office tried to serve Kim a warrant, but she allegedly left her sister’s place before she was served.
Neither Kyle nor Kim have spoken publicly about the legal battle. Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for both reality TV stars for comment.
Kim performed alongside Kyle in the RHOBH in the first five seasons of the hit reality show, later making guest appearances across the ages. Kyle is a stay at home mom with another sibling, Kathy Hiltonnow from the role of “friend”.
In the years since Kim left the Bravo franchise, she’s still dealing with it a series of ups and downs. In September 2024 news broke that Kim was reportedly arrested 5150 at a local hospital for “disorderly” behavior. (Under California law, 5150 mental detention allows for the involuntary, 72-hour detention of a person to conduct a mandatory mental health evaluation when the person is deemed a danger to himself or others.)
Kyle later offered to take care of his sister after her release. Kim has struggled with substance abuse over the years.
“Kim and I have never had any problems with anything,” Kathy, 67, you are only told Us in October 2024. “He’s going through a tough time and he’s doing better now.”
The following year, Kyle and Kathy gave another update on Kim during the show RHOBH season 14 reunion.
“You are wasting time [in Florida],” Kathy told the host Andy Cohen during the April 2025 reunion. “He’s doing better.”
Kyle added that Kim is “doing better than the last time” she was in the news.
Kim has never spoken publicly about her reported problems and has since withdrawn from public appearances. His most recent public appearance was open 2023 episode RHOBH.
“I believe – I’m going to be affected – life’s too short to fight,” Kim told Kyle about her feud with Kathy at the time. “It’s not appropriate, it worries me, I want you to fix it somehow. [Life] it can be very short.”
Kyle and Kathy ended up mending fences later that year.
