Hannah Montana Stars Skipped Anniversary Special

Miley Cyrus they all came out to celebrate their 20th anniversary Hannah Montana with a Disney+ special — and a red carpet premiere — but there were a few of the show’s stars who were absent from the big events.
The hit Disney Channel series, which ran from 2006 to 2011, followed a girl named Miley Stewart (Cyrus) who lived a double life as the famous pop singer Hannah Montana. The alter ego allowed Miley to remain anonymous and live a normal life, but it also came with its own set of challenges.
Two decades after the show aired, Cyrus sat down to record a special film in the reconstructed sound system intended for the show. Hannah Montana set up. She was joined by special guest stars including the host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast Alex Cooper, Selena Gomez again Chappell Roanbut most of his goods were missing.
The surprising absence continued at the premiere in Los Angeles, where most of Cyrus’ family attended, but who paid him money. Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso and other things that are not there.
Osment, for her part, addressed her absence shortly before the red carpet event, telling her followers on Instagram that “Hannah Montana changed my life.” During the examination for the special, which Us Weekly he went, Cyrus showed the legacy of the show many years later.
“I have nothing prepared for this moment – and I didn’t do it by mistake. Not only that, I look at the audience now and I see many faces that made this possible.”
Cyrus continued: “Everything in my life is amazing because Disney took a chance on me. I had no business going out to Los Angeles thinking I could host a show or make myself a pop star. I had no experience. I had done theater before. … There were some years when I thought they called me right. I think it all worked out because whatever brought us to fame in this room – it wasn’t about celebrating – which didn’t show up. in this room [have] what happened I may be the only one in this room who has never been to a Hannah Montana concert [because] I was a Hannah Montana concert. But now I understand why it was so much fun to go to one of Hannah’s shows to dress up as her, wearing a wig and a scarf. That’s what it felt like for me to celebrate Hannah Montana – now from the other side.”

Emily Osment

The actress, who played Miley’s best friend, Lilly, confirmed a few hours before the premiere that she would not be able to attend. (Osment also didn’t film any scenes for the 20th anniversary special itself.)
“We’re at Georgie & Mandy … that’s why I can’t be a part of the 20-year reunion, because we’re here shooting our show,” she explained in an Instagram video from the set of the CBS show. “But I wanted to say hello and thank everyone who has stuck with us all these years. I’m so thankful that you all still love this show. I’m proud to be a part of it.”
Mitchell Musso

Mitchell Musso, who played the other BFF Oliver, wrote a disdain for the show after not appearing in the premiere or the special.
“Hannah Montana surrounded my heart and did not let me go. We really grew up with ya’ll – long days, crazy schedules, reading lines, separation between takes, and finding life while the cameras are rolling. It taught me many amazing amounts, but the most important ‘to me’ is that laughter can get you through difficult days. That confidence still affects me,” he wrote to me and one day on Instagram. “As my Lillypop said in her post, most of you are building your own families and sharing this beautiful story with your children is an undeniable gift. It’s been the most fun part of HM.”
He concluded: “Miley, Emily, Jason, Billy Ray, Moises, and the whole team at Disney – you’ve been my family through all the real, dirty, beautiful moments. Thank you for believing in a bully kid from Texas who wore questionable clothes with hair like that. To all of you, thank you for accepting me 20 years ago and I’m still here in your hearts. We’re honored to be able to share all of this.” together.”
Jason Earles

After playing Miley’s brother, Jackson, Earles attended the premiere in Los Angeles alongside other original cast members, including Miley Cyrus, Moisés Arias, Shanica Knowles, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle again Cody Linley. However, he was not in the special that aired on Disney+.
Moisés Arias

Fans saw Moisés Arias, who played Rico, in the premiere, but he was not in the special section.
Billy Ray Cyrus

Miley Cyrus’ father, Billy Ray Cyrushe was by her side in the first show and appeared in the special. She was absent from the premiere, where Miley was joined by mom Tish Cyrus, her husband, Dominic Purcelland his family.
Selena Gomez

Another Disney Channel child star – who played Miley’s rival Mikayla – made a surprise appearance on the Hannah Montana special. He did not attend the premiere.
Cody Linley

Although Cody Linley’s Jake mistreated Miley on the show, fans were excited to see him on the red carpet for the anniversary special. He didn’t seem to record anything special himself.
Drew Roy

After Cody Linley was spotted in the premiere, many fans asked why Drew Roy, who played one of Miley’s boyfriends in the show, was not available. Roy has given up acting in recent years, instead focusing on his career as a professional pilot.
Lucas Till

Although Lucas Till was not cast in the first season of Hannah Montana, he did star as Miley’s love interest Travis in. Hannah Montana: The Movie. He did not appear at the commemorative events.
