Bryson DeChambeau is hoping this week ends with his third major title and first Masters victory. The two-time US Open champion almost sealed the deal last year, battling Rory McIlroy in Sunday’s final before handing him the green jacket.
Heading into this year’s Masters, DeChambeau is hot. He has won the last two LIV Golf tournaments, and betrayed a few nerves in Wednesday’s Masters Par 3 Championship.
In Round 1, DeChambeau started off with a textbook par 1st, but didn’t quite make it on the 2nd. Bryson lost his drive on the par-5 in the left woods, and ended up settling for a bogey-6 to fall to one early. But he quickly got that shot back with a birdie a 3.
After starting the opening round early, DeChambeau will switch to the afternoon wave for Friday’s second round.
DeChambeau will advance to Round 2 on Friday at 1:20 pm ET along with Matt Fitzpatrick and Xander Schauffele.
You can watch Friday’s second round of the 2026 Masters on TV on ESPN, with coverage scheduled for 3-7:30 pm ET. Amazon Prime Video and Masters.com will provide early coverage from 1-3 pm ET.
