Did Donald Trump Grant Tiger Woods Pardon During DUI Arrest?

After Tiger WoodsOn Friday, March 27, a DUI arrest, a post circulated on social media including a statement purporting to be from the President Donald Trumpasking for Woods to be pardoned so he can compete in the upcoming Masters tournament.
“I was just told that Tiger Woods, a Great Golfer and even a Greater American, was involved in a minor fender bender today, and due to a misunderstanding, he has been charged with a felony DUI,” the statement of allegations read. “This is happening as he tries to get back into professional golf. Everyone deserves a second chance, which Tiger never got, frankly. That’s why I’m calling on Gov. Ron DeSantis to IMMEDIATELY AND COMPLETELY FORGIVE Tiger so he can focus on The Masters and help Make Golf Great Again!”
The original post — a screenshot of the alleged statement from Trump’s TruthSocial account — received more than two million views at press time, reaching far and wide on X.
“Amazing,” the post read, along with a statement.
Despite the relevance of this post, it was quickly found to be false, as Trump never posted a statement about Woods on his TruthSocial account, as the viral post claimed.
Trump, however, offered his concern and sympathy to his “very close friend,” Woods.
“I feel bad. He’s having a hard time,” Trump, 79, told reporters when asked about the incident on Friday. “There was an accident, and that’s all I know. My best friend, he’s a wonderful person, a wonderful man. But some difficulties. I don’t want to talk about it.”
