Surveillance video captured what appears to be a terrifying late-night act of violence in Ohio, where a knife-wielding man allegedly told a homeowner that he intended to kill him “in the name of Allah.”
This tragic incident, which happened early on Easter Sunday in Warren County, started when the suspect was seen praying in the family’s driveway before approaching the house several times, causing the shocked father to finally go outside.
Authorities later identified the suspect as Anthony Long, 23, who was arrested and charged after the incident, FOX 19 Now reported.
Tiffany Miller, the mother of the family, shared the shocking incident on social media on Monday, describing it as a “very scary and dangerous situation” that could have turned deadly.

The incident began when the suspect reportedly drove into the family’s driveway with his lights off, Miller said.
Home surveillance footage then emerged showing the man kneeling in the driveway of the home praying before approaching the home.
There was a long knock on the front door, but there was no answer as the family slept, Miller said.
Minutes later, he returned, banging on the door louder by the second, a great effort.
Miller said the family woke up expecting their daughter to return home, but were shocked to find a stranger at their door in the middle of the night.

“I woke up and left thinking that my daughter was locked out, no, it wasn’t,” she said. “It was a man I don’t know. We didn’t answer, he went back to his car.”
It is said that the suspect remained in his parked car as one of the family’s daughters finally arrived home, which led to Miller’s husband going outside to confront the suspect.
“Hey buddy, are you knocking on the door?” father Andy was heard asking.
“I will kill you in the name of Allah,” the suspect quickly replied.
The frightened father then backed away and shouted for their daughter to leave.
Miller said the suspect then pulled a knife on Andy, tried to return to them, and ended up chasing the daughter, who had already fled the scene.

“The man just got out of his car, started threatening to kill her, repeatedly talking about religion, and then he started getting close to her in a brutal way,” said Miller.
No one was injured in the incident according to the family.
“This was a very scary incident, and thankfully no one was hurt last night,” Miller said.
