Pregnant Mother Shot to Death in Georgia on Her Way Home from Work

Georgia police are investigating the murder of a pregnant mother of two who was found shot to death in her car on an Atlanta highway during rush hour.

Atlanta police were called about a person possibly shot on Interstate 75 on Tuesday, April 14, at approximately 6:15 pm.

Investigators came across a white BMW SUV on the shoulder on the northbound side of the highway, not far from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – its right turn signal still on.

It was clear, the police said, that the female driver – Bianca Huntley – was the victim of an “apparent gunshot wound.”

Huntley, 34, was shot on his way home. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, and died, despite the efforts of doctors.

“The initial investigation indicates that the victim may have been injured in a different and unknown place at this time,” said the Ministry in a news release.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner ruled that Huntley died of a “gunshot wound involving the left arm and torso.”

“The initial investigation reveals that the victim may have been injured in a different location and is currently unknown,” said the police.

his mother, Gloria Allenhe told 11 Alive that the murdered woman was “a bright light that has been extinguished.

He said Huntley – who is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina – moved to Atlanta nine years ago because of his job at the courier and logistics company, DHL. He has also recently been promoted to the position of a senior manager, explained the weeping grandmother.

“He was just promoted,” Allen enthused at the station. “He was in the process of hiring a team when his life ended tragically.”

Allen, he added, had two daughters, ages 14 and 5. Allen did not reveal the gender of the child Huntley was carrying.

Huntley was also proud to own a home by the time he turned 30, Allen said.

“Alone, OK, raising two daughters, through hard work and dedication – no one did it for her, she did it,” Allen said.

He also said he believed this was not just a case of road rage – but someone had targeted his daughter.
