General Hospital: Valentin Redeed? A Shocking Twist can change everything!

General Hospital with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) as a fugitive. He runs away. He’s hiding in Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) basement, and the WSB wants him dead or alive. And Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) increasingly wants to take her in.

And it’s messy because Valentin falls for Carly and vice versa. So, it looks like Valentin may be cornered soon, but his escape status could change.

Valentin’s Road to Liberation at General Hospital

That’s right. So, right now, many, many people in Port Charles have a very dim view of Valentin Cassadine. And honestly, you know, he wasn’t a good guy when he first came in General Hospital the canvas. Remember, he was supposed to be the most feared and dangerous of all the Cassadines.

And if you remember, he shot Nikolas Cassadine (formerly Tyler Christopher) and shot Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) when Valentin was actually targeting Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis). And from there, we saw Valentin with one good ransom already. He came back from all that.

And things got worse again because he was involved with Jack Brennan and Pikeman and Valentin went on the run and Brennan somehow became the station manager. Doesn’t seem right, does it? Therefore, this deliverance is more about seeing and seeing one’s own perspective and actually getting forgiveness rather than changing oneself.

I think Valentin is already making a lot of changes. And there is also the issue that this crime is not just a simple thing. So, it’s not just redemption in the eyes of all of Port Charles. Legal redemption. So, let’s discuss how his slate can be wiped clean so he can move on GH.

Reveal and Bring Cullum down to GH

The first thing Valentin can do is expose and bring down Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). I mean, he’s a big old thug who kidnapped and tortured Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). And of course, Cullum killed Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and forces Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to finish the last project of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

So, if Valentin is the one who takes down Cullum, that would be a big step towards redemption. The WSB will have to exonerate Valentin if he exposes Cullum as a traitor to the WSB and the country and as a conspirator with master criminal Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

In addition, Valentin will gain the respect of Carly and possibly Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) if he helps expose Cullum as the penthouse bomb that almost killed Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and the one who stabbed Marco, which Sonny is accused of. And let’s be real, Valentin will be helping a lot of people by getting rid of Cullum.

Whether Valentin killed Cullum or just helped him and put him in Steinmauer. I mean, Britt will be incredibly relieved because she’s scared of Cullum who might be planning to kill her once the Cold Fusion project is finished. And of course, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will be grateful because Cullum targeted him and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) will be happy to get justice for Marco.

Keep Anna Devane in a normal hospital

Another way Valentin can find redemption and get his crimes cleared would be if he saves Anna, who is set up by Cullum. And of course, Valentin cares deeply for Anna. However, I don’t think she will get back together with him yet.

I think Valentin and Carly are destined at this point. But Valentin cares enough about Anna to want her away from this man on the books for the WSB scheme cooked up by Cullum. And if Valentin saves Anna as part of exposing what Cullum is doing, that might help him get the release he needs.

Save Jason In WSB

And another thing that can get Valentin redeemed and forgiven is that he helped save Jason from the illegal WSB warrant and the translation set up by Cullum. That would put Valentin on the road to redemption and influential people might seek his pardon.

Now, Jason is important to powerful people, including the Quartermaines and Sonny and Mayor Laura and many others. And if Valentin saves Jason and brings him home, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) can be thankful too. Also, I think it might change Sonny’s opinion of Valentin, which is also a big deal.

And of course, Carly would be very grateful if Valentin saved Jason, her best friend. If Valentin did that, I think Carly wouldn’t stop until she cleared Valentin’s name, including putting extraordinary pressure on Jack to get the WSB off Valentin’s back.

Carly already has feelings for Valentin. And if he could do something for this hero and save his friend Jason, well, I think that would make Carly decide that he just doesn’t deserve to be pardoned. But Valentin is her man. And I think Brennan will lose his gun to Carly forever.

Set up the Cold Fusion Project at General Hospital

And next, of course, there’s this Cold Fusion project that’s going to cause a stir. We don’t know exactly how Cesar Faison’s final project will work out. But they won’t go to all the trouble for Britt to finish it just to use it for a good cause. You know, Cullum and Sidwell don’t plan to use cold fusion to lower gas and power prices in Port Charles.

I mean Cullum is going to do something bad with it. I’m sure it’s some kind of weapon. So, if Valentin can help shut down the Cold Fusion device and save all of Port Charles, I mean, come on, that’s a quick rescue when you think about it.

You may remember it was a little over a decade ago, I think 2015. And Sonny was also a fugitive at the time. He had escaped from Pentonville and was hiding outside. Then he realized that dozens of lives were at stake. So, Sonny risked his life to remove the bomb from the Haunted Star planted by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).

And Sonny saved a lot of lives. The next day the governor commuted the sentence and he walked out free and clear. So, if Valentin saves all of Port Charles from this cold fusion thing, I think maybe he can get a free pass too.

Introduce Cassius Faison to GH

And another thing to consider if he cleans up all the WSB debris is that he might expose Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey). I’m not sure if Valentin knows yet that Faison had a fourth child or if he’ll find out along the way. But Valentin revealing that the Sidwell family stole Nathan’s life is a big deal.

Cassius is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, mostly because Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) is dating Cassius and he doesn’t know it. He thinks it’s Nathan. So, if Valentin exposes him so that Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and others learn the truth that Nathan is really dead, I think that would be a game changer.

In addition, Valentin, I think, will be determined to expose Cassius because he will not want his co-parent, Lulu, to fall in love with that monster. And Valentin won’t want the creepy Cassius around their daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

General Hospital: Valentin Taking It All Down?

Now, you know, I don’t think he’s as bad as they want him to be. But it is clear that he is a bad person and a criminal. And right now, Lulu’s attitude is that Nathan is a better man than Valentin, but that’s not Nathan. And Cassius, frankly, seems worse than Valentin at this point. While I’m not sure that exposing Cassius is enough to be redeemed, it might be worth the extra effort.

You know, if Valentin exposes and brings down all the corrupt parts of the WSB, including Cullum and his collusion with Sidwell and using Cassius as a man, and stopping the cold fusion weapon altogether, that would be huge. And I think it can get him a legal redemption and pardon. We’ll see how it plays out. But I think Valentin’s days as a fugitive may be over before too long.
