Former NC Police Chief Accused of Raping ‘Helpless’ Teen

A man who once worked as a police chief in a North Carolina community was jailed this week, accused of raping a 16-year-old girl.
William Chad Green was arrested on Sunday, April 6, on one count of rape.
Local news channels, citing the arrest warrant in this case, reported that the suspect, 51, is accused of raping a girl on Friday, April 4.
The warrant alleges that Green forced himself on a girl who was “mentally disabled or physically incapacitated.”
The warrant states that Green “should have known or should have known that the victim was mentally retarded or physically incapacitated.”
Records show that a warrant was issued on Saturday, April 5, and that Green was arrested the next morning on a charge of aggravated rape.
He was taken to the Stanley County Jail where he is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Green was previously an officer with the Norwood Police Department in Stanley County, serving there from September 2008 to May 2010. He later served as Norwood’s police chief from August 2014 to June 2015.
The Oakboro Police Department also confirmed that Green was an officer with their police force at one time.
It was not clear whether Green was asked if he pleaded guilty or if he had retained a lawyer to face the allegations against him.

Benjamin Wagner He was charged in Michigan with 14 different crimes, including eight counts of first-degree sex and five counts of kidnapping. All the alleged victims were between the ages of 15 and 23 when they were sexually assaulted.
Police say Wagner, 68, is a rapist who worked between 1999 and 2003, when he was a member of the Detroit Police Department.
It is reported that a Massachusetts police officer started crying in court last month after she and her husband were accused of repeatedly raping a teenager they picked up from their home.
Plymouth Police Samantha Pelrine with her husband, Daniel Forandhe was arrested shortly after he was suspended from work on March 17.
A couple has been charged with abusing a 12-year-old victim after living with her in 2019. Pelrine, 31, has been charged with several counts including three counts of aggravated statutory rape of a child and one count of aggravated statutory rape of a child, in each count.
Meanwhile, Forand, 37, was charged with 20 counts including rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 and over and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
