Missy Peregrym’s Maggie Missing From FBI After Shocking Death

Missy Peregrym‘s character Maggie was absent during the first episode The FBI from that shocking screen death.

Monday’s episode, March 23, acknowledged the absence of Maggie after Ray DiStefano’s cutter (Matthew Rauch) killed his sister, Erin (Adrienne Rose Bengtsson). Peregrym, 43, is expected to return on the March 30 episode of the hit CBS series as Maggie returns to work after grieving the loss of her sibling.

“When you experience something painful like the loss of a sister … you understand, you feel when someone is facing something very difficult,” Juliana Aidén Martinez he was teased earlier TV Insider Maggie’s return is Wednesday, March 18.
“So, I think the group is rightly concerned and each person will react differently to how they give space to someone,” he added.

Peregrym, meanwhile, has denied plans to leave the show after his Maggie move.

“I’ll be honest. I’m in the middle of the process, and I’m wondering what impact this might have? And sometimes I get scared because I think we’re just highlighting some of the horrors of humanity every week,” Peregrym told Deadline. “And what is this? Why are we doing this? I’m investing a lot of my life to do this?”

Peregrym was relieved to see how this game would raise the right topics on the screen.

“I think what we do is very important, because we highlight the way to move forward. Everyone loses. Everyone goes through deep emotions in life,” he explained. “You have the opportunity to show connection, relationship, intimacy and growth. And that’s why I do what I do. I hope this makes people feel recognized and want to continue following such a terrible experience, and not give up.”

Peregrym was optimistic about the program’s plans. “To go far, I was like, ‘What do we do after this?’ “You know, I’ve been playing the same character for eight years, and we’re still going,” he said. “What’s the plan? How are we going to go about the next steps of getting you back on your feet and being able to be in the world again? This is not a game where we sit in our underwear and talk on the sofa. We have to get back to work.”

He concluded, “So we’re going to talk about the reality of the situation at some point, and we’re doing it, we’re doing it the best way we can with our show, the way we’re doing it procedurally. But you know, as scary as it is, I was afraid to step into that space at the end. I find it really interesting to play this character of mine and when I get my job. The challenge feels like we’re doing a new show again.

The FBI airs on CBS Mondays at 9 pm ET.
